2993: last case of residency is a tough one

This video showcases a great job by an anonymous resident surgeon handling a complex and tough case for the very last case of residency. Transitioning out of training means that when you operate from now on, you will be on your own in the operating room, perhaps with just the voice of Cataract Coach echoing in your head. But that is completely okay because you are well-prepared and you will blossom into an incredible, highly skilled surgeon. It is a well-known reality in ophthalmology that you will learn more about the nuances, fluidics, and management of cataract surgery in your very first year of independent practice than you did in the prior ten years of your education. Be strong, keep up the exceptional work, and make us all proud as you step into this next chapter of your surgical career. To all the recent graduates out there, what was the most valuable piece of advice your attending gave you during your final case? Please comment your thoughts and reflections below.
