
Using an AC maintainer to keep the eye inflated is helpful during complex surgeries like intra-scleral haptic fixation of an IOL. But what about for routine cataract surgery? Does the addition of an AC maintainer help during surgery when you already have a source of fluid infusion from the phaco probe or the I/A instrumentation? I feel that it is unnecessary and this video explains why. What is your opinion on the matter? Please comment below.
