This patient sustained ocular trauma years ago which resulted in the disinsertion of the iris root at the temporal aspect of the limbus. This effectively creates two pupils and this can lead to ghost images and decreased quality of vision. There is also a significant cataract so the surgeon has elected to perform both phaco cataract surgery as well as repair of the irido-dialysis defect. The technique shown here is very good and the result is excellent. This is a relatively easy technique that you should be able to learn from this video. One day, you’ll have a patient in your clinic who will benefit from your learning today.
