1835: efficient phaco chop dense nucleus

This patient has a dense cataract — the kind where the posterior plate of the nucleus is tough and fibrous making nucleus division challenging. I have showed videos where I like to place the chopper behind the posterior surface of the nucleus to trap it and then chop it. Our guest surgeon shows us how much effort it is to chop this type of cataract. The technique is excellent and there are so many great pearls to learn from this video.
