1423: subluxated cataract & pupilloplasty

This patient sustained an ocular injury which resulted in subluxation of the crystalline lens, cataract formation, and chronic traumatic mydriasis. Our guest surgeon shows his technique of performing the cataract surgery, securing and centering the IOL, and then doing a pupilloplasty. Fortunately, the patient recovered excellent vision.

  1. This is a great case, thanks for sharing! Do you have any recommendations for the limit on placing a CTR and IOL within the bag versus selecting to place a lens in the sulcus? My first inclination would have been to place a sulcus lens here but it looks like a fantastic outcome.
