1422: IOL surgery for ectopia lentis

While having a dislocated crystalline lens is a rare occurrence, it can pose surgical challenges due to the lack of zonular support. There are many causes of a dislocated crystalline lens which trauma being the most common, but also including conditions like Marfan syndrome, homocystinuria, and others. The dislocated crystalline lens does a poor job of proving focus and it can also induce other aberrations such as high degrees of astigmatism or even relative aphakic as it falls out of the visual axis. This surgery shows a step-by-step approach to replace the dislocated crystalline lens with a secured IOL.
