I recently had an enlightening dinner with two former residents: Tripper Sauer MD (UCLA JSEI class of 2017) and David Reed MD (UCLA JSEI class of 2013). You can see the full list of our former residents here.
The highlight of the hours long conversation was the transition from training to practice. There are some big challenges for ophthalmologists as they begin the first few years in practice. After so many years of education and training, it is hard to believe that life will become even more challenging. This is a very important video and it will accurately predict the challenges that you will face in the years to come. Watch and study this video at least a few times… you’ll thank me (and thank Tripper and David).
