Our guest surgeon, Dr Alex Abdo Martins from Brazil, has a very interesting case for us. This patient has a large degree of astigmatism which is somewhat irregular. Dr Martins is going to use a toric monofocal IOL to address the astigmatism after extensive biometry and imaging. The patient has a good result, but it could be better if the toric IOL is rotated to a different axis. Learn from this great surgical planning and see how he determined how much to rotate the IOL and how he did it without viscoelastic (OVD). You will be amazed especially when you see how the eye ends up at perfect plano.
