Loading the IOL into the injector cartridge is a skill that every cataract surgeon must master. In my private practice and surgery center, my scrub techs are experts at IOL loading and they often do it for me. However, there are cases where I want to load it myself. Remember that the surgeon is ultimately responsible for IOL related issues.
