
Our anonymous resident surgeon does a great job with case 400 with the horizontal chop technique but there is one very important improvement that needs to be made: holding the instruments appropriately so that your fingers do not block the view into the anterior chamber. Look at this screenshot pic below and you will understand the issue.

This poses a safety issue because you cannot see what you are doing. At case 400 you have already built some habits so it may be more challenging to change, but you must. This is not a great way to operate. This resident has great skills for case 400 and he/she just needs to address this one issue and then keep learning. Please comment below, giving your best advice.
