2802: resident divide & conquer case

Close-up image of an eye during cataract surgery, showing an operating surgeon's tools and the sclera with red blood vessels. Notable text overlays indicate focus on resident cases and surgical techniques.

This week we are featuring all resident cases. Yesterday (video 2801) and the day before (video 2800) were two CataractQuiz™ videos where there were complications / issues with IOL insertion. The next few videos are routine resident cases without complications and each one shows a different technique of nucleo-fractis. This video is the divide and conquer technique which is a common initial technique to learn because it removes time constraints from nucleus division. If you are not sure what I mean by that, study the video carefully since it is explained in detail.
