2655: eroding seton, iris prolapse, high IOP

Close-up view of an eye showing an eroding seton, iris prolapse, and high intraocular pressure, with marked areas indicating iris prolapse and scleral thinning.

This is a very tough case where a patient previously had an Ahmed Glaucoma Valve seton placed and it is now causing problems. Note that the Ahmed Valve is named after Dr A Mateen Ahmed — and not after our Canadian colleague Ike Ahmed who does not want to be on the CataractCoach Podcast 🙂 The tube is eroding the scleral and allowing the iris to prolapse. How will you fix such a difficult case? Our guest surgeon Professor Ramesh Ayyala from Tampa, Florida, USA does a great job addressing all of these issues in one sitting. The result is fantastic.
