We are preferentially looking for surgical complication videos (and we can feature them anonymously if desired) and today our guest surgeon shows us exactly what to do when the posterior capsule splits during polishing. The key is keeping the anterior hyaloid face intact to prevent vitreous prolapse and this is done by keeping the anterior chamber pressurized. A sulcus IOL can then be placed with optic capture to give an excellent outcome for the patient. Watch this video to learn the best way of managing this complication. Beautiful recovery and great save!
