There are about 500 senior residents in the USA who are graduating in a few months (by June 30, 2025) and likely thousands more senior residents/registrars around the world who will be doing the same. This is your wake-up call with just three months to go: Are you at least as good as the anonymous resident surgeon in this video in performing the stop-and-chop technique? While we all learn on divide-and-conquer and less than half of graduating residents learn phaco chop, I believe that 100% of ophthalmology residents can learn stop-and-chop.
