It must be the typical hammer and chisel injury; in this case- nail. A splinter of the extremely hot nail head must have cause a penetrating injury, the cataract being one if it. Now, there will be a metallic FB somewhere which needs to be removed or sider osis bulbi may ensue. The extreme high temperature of the splinter will render it sterile so no need to worry about infection.
