2388: plateau iris leads to angle closure

Just two days ago we featured Prof. Ramesh Ayyala on our CataractCoach Podcast — the top podcast in all of ophthalmology. He was explaining about the many complex cases that are referred to his team at USF Tampa including this case of plateau iris leading to angle closure. The treatment in this case involves performing cataract surgery, then pulling the iris out of the angle and then doing ECP (endo-cyclo-photocoagulation) of the ciliary processes to decrease aqueous production. The result is great and this should be your go-to technique for similar cases. Have you dealt with a case like this, and if so, what was your approach? Please comment below.
