This is a case of severe trauma where a patient was stabbed in the globe/orbit with a serrated kitchen knife. This resulted in a ruptured globe but fortunately no penetration into the cranium. Our guest surgeon is Dr Ramesh Ayyala, Professor and Chairman at USF Tampa and together with his team, they perform a surgical repair of this complex trauma case. We also show another ruptured globe case where a kerato-prosthesis (K-pro) is used to rehabilitate the vision after severe trauma. Have you ever seen trauma of this nature? Please comment below.
