2371: resident spiral out capsulorhexis

Performing a spiral out capsulorhexis is a good way to approach a white cataract where the risk of capsular run-out is higher. If at anytime the capsulorhexis starts to run-out, immediately pull inwards to the center of the lens and you will have safely completed the tear. This smaller capsulorhexis can then be enlarged later via the double-rhexis technique. If there is no run-out then simply continue the spiral until the capsulorhexis is the desired final size. Have you tried this technique? Please comment below.
