This patient has severe macular degeneration which has rendered the central visual acuity to 20/200 or worse. Our guest surgeon is going to use an implantable miniature telescope as the IOL for cataract surgery. This will provide greatly magnified central images so that the patient can more easily perform activities of daily living. Have you used this device before?
