Our guest surgeon is highly experienced and he does something that I’ve seen other Brazilian surgeons do: avoid using the IA probe by removing the cortex with the phaco probe. This involves doing a lot of nucleus rotation after hydro-dissection in order to free up as much cortex as possible and then using the phaco probe to very delicately remove any residual cortex without damaging the capsular bag. Not an easy feat, so if you are a beginning surgeon, do not attempt this advanced technique. What is your opinion of this technique? Comment below please.

What is the need toremove cortex with phaco probes…..It will increase risk of complications
Use I & A which is what it is meant for
Great Surgeon!
Amazing technique and precision!
