The bottom line is that the posterior polar opacity hides a weak spot of the posterior capsule and you should avoid placing stress on the capsular bag lest it rip wide open. This means no hydro-dissection and it also means that you must not stretch the capsular bag. So can you still use a pre-chopper? Indeed, you can, albeit with a high degree of caution.
