This patient has a secondary uveitic glaucoma which needs to be addressed at the same time as cataract surgery. Our guest surgeon elects to perform suture goniotomy where a 5-0 polypropylene suture (5-0 Prolene) is used to cannulate Schlemm’s canal for a full 360 degrees. We have featured these types of Gonioscopy-Assisted Transluminal Trabeculotomy (GATT) procedures before, but this case is particularly interesting because a strip of trabeculum was removed instead of just being split.
