This patient recently had a pars plana vitrectomy and there was an iatrogenic complication when the vitrector inadvertently punctured the posterior capsule of the crystalline lens. Now the challenge is how will you safely address this issue and how will you secure an IOL in the eye?
How did they know which lens power to use? This all happened during a vitrectomy not during a planned placo/ picoleto.
this is a second surgery. First PPV was done prior.
