2110: UK registrar case 300 review

Time for you to put your expertise to work and we, as a collective group, can help this young surgeon in training improve. This is a complete case (shown at 3x speed) of a registrar (resident) performing phaco case number 300 and while it is great (especially for a registrar), there are some bits of advice that can make this surgeon even better. Comparing to yesterday’s video of a different resident case, you can see just how big a difference there is from case 30 to case 300. Please watch the video and then leave a comment about your advice for improving this case. Constructive criticism only.

  1. Great technique
For moving forward to phaco chop start with moderately hard cataracts that are easier to chop. If Regarding your technique, if you move less the phaco needle during quadrant removal, the fluidics will direct the cataract material right to your phaco needle , so try not to chase all the fragments. They will come to you
