1962: effect of pupil size for EDOF IOLs

Just like the aperture (f stop) matters for taking photos with a camera, the pupil size plays a large role in determining visual performance of the eye including the depth of field. This video goes over the changes in performance with these IOLs depending on pupil size and also covers the refractive targeting which may change depending on pupil diameter.

  1. With the Vivity lens, would you start with shooting for Plano in the non-dominant eye? If patient ends up myopic, then +0.50 target in the dominant eye?
