We recently had an amazing podcast with Dr Marguerite McDonald, a true pioneer in laser vision correction using corneal ablation with an excimer laser. She shared that she has moved away from performing LASIK and now prefers PRK advanced surface ablation instead. PRK is great and produces outstanding visual outcomes but it sometimes induces issues such as pain or corneal haze that can hinder the patient experience. But this can be effectively resolved and managed with the special way that Dr McDonald performs the PRK as well as the post-op medication regimen.
