Last week in video 1747, we showed you this same resident surgeon’s first case of horizontal chop and it went very well. Perhaps beginners luck like the one time I caught a beautiful trout on my first cast while learning basic fly fishing (I didn’t get another bite the rest of the weekend). This time the same resident is having a much tougher time accomplishing the chop and there is a fair bit of struggling. I give some valuable pearls for improving the technique and we welcome your advice as well in our group effort to all become better surgeons.
