1716: astigmatism in radial keratotomy

For patients with prior radial keratotomy (RK), cataract surgery has to be done differently. These eyes also often have significant astigmatism that can be addressed at the time of the cataract surgery. When evaluating these corneas, we need to determine the degree of symmetry as well as if the astigmatism is regular or irregular. In this case, the central cornea had symmetric, regular astigmatism that was nicely addressed with a toric IOL.

  1. Looks like a great job. I like your introduction and how you explain each step. I would like you to do my cataracts post rk 8 cuts done 28 years ago. I’ve seen fine up until cataracts started. I’ll continue to follow you. Thank You, Dr. Uday Devan.
