1704: metallic intra-ocular foreign body

This patient sustained ocular trauma where a small, metallic foreign body penetrated the cornea and ended up inside the crystalline lens. This IOFB was very close to the posterior capsule and there was a question as to whether it was violated. Our surgeon does a great job in saving this patient’s vision and removing the IOFB. If you are a resident taking on-call duties you must know how to deal with ruptured globes and it would behoove you to watch every video in our trauma section!
