This is my video from the Cataract Spotlight session by Dr David Chang from the American Academy of Ophthalmology 2022 meeting in Chicago. This challenging cataract cases is due to prior trauma from a car accident. The patient has significant zonular loss and this allows aqueous (or balanced salt solution) to flow through this gap and behind the posterior capsule. This causes the capsular bag to collapse and the anterior chamber to shallow. How can you complete the case now? This video features a quiz and discussion about the options for success.
