Axenfeld Rieger syndrome is a rare condition where the iris and pupil do not develop correctly in utero and in this case, that means this patient has no effective pupil. Our guest surgeon shows us a novel technique for creating a pupil in order to evaluate the posterior segment of the eye. This is an unusual case and I have never previously seen this technique being used. I know that you will find it interesting and educational.
Fantastic! Thinking out of the box!
