I had the pleasure of being a visiting professor at the University of South Florida USF Eye Institute in Tampa, Florida, USA. It is an outstanding residency training program with an incredibly dedicated faculty. In addition to spending time in the wet lab with their residents, we had a symposium and then a video competition.
There were so many great entries and we selected the top 15 or so as finalists. From those we chose two honorable mentions (featured in the video below), and 3rd / 2nd place (tomorrow’s video), and then one grand prize winner (the day after tomorrow) who also got USD$500 from CataractCoach!
We are going to make this an annual event and we will be growing the meeting (and the contest) even more. If you’re a new surgeon in training, or recently graduated, keep a look out for good cases so that you can win our contest next year.
