1320: do I prefer flip or chop?

Many CataractCoach fans have emailed me asking which technique I prefer for routine cases: phaco flip or phaco chop? Some of my videos feature one technique, while some videos feature the other. The answer is that I like to have many different techniques mastered so that I can do any of them for any case. You take it as it comes. If the patient has a smaller pupil and a softer nucleus, then perhaps I’ll lean towards phaco flip. If the nucleus has more density, I may prefer to chop it in the capsular bag. The key is that I have mastered many different techniques of nucleo-fractis and I can do any technique at any time.
