1270: resident microspherophakia

So you’re a resident in training and you watch these CataractCoach videos and think to yourself, “yeah, but when am I ever going to see a case of microspherophakia?” Well, you may be surprised! After watching this video of microspherophakia, one of our senior residents found a similar case of her own. Fortunately, this case had much better zonular support and she was able to place a toric monofocal IOL into the capsular bag. While this condition is rare, there is a significant chance that you will one day find a patient like this in your clinic.
