In keeping with our theme of learning from the cataract surgeries of young surgeons who are at the beginning of their surgical careers, we present a routine case of flip and chop. The anonymous surgeon is in his/her first year of practice after completion of residency training. The skills are quite good but there are a few areas where we can offer advice for improvement. Just the action of submitting a video and asking for a critique and advice shows that this surgeon has the drive and determination to climb up the learning curve to become outstanding. I think you will learn a lot from this video as well.
