1031: resident phaco chop critique

Our video is from an anonymous resident surgeon in The Philippines who is performing a phaco chop variant during this routine case. This technique starts with the phaco probe making a central pit which allows the phaco tip to be better occluded and achieve better holding power during the chop. The technique is good and the surgeon completes the case successfully. Watch the video carefully and you will see the areas where I think some improvement could be made. I want to encourage this young surgeon to keep up the good work — you have good hands and will certainly blossom into an accomplished surgeon!
