
Even for expert cataract surgeons, sometimes the attempt at phaco chop fails. This can be due to many reasons and in this case it is because the vacuum power of the phaco tip started to crumble the relatively soft nucleus and the suction power was lost. In prior videos we have reverted to stop-and-chop with success. In this case, we are not going to do that and we will still succeed in achieving an efficient surgery with a great visual outcome for our patient. So what is your solution to this case now?
