Watch out for the tubing lines!

This is a simple, but important, lesson: keep the tubing lines and the phaco power cord away from your surgical field. Improperly draping the cords around your hand / wrist will lead to them moving into the surgical field and blocking your view during the surgery. This can lead to complications from loss of the view and also issues with fluidics if the inflow/outflow lines are kinked which would impede flow.
