Tiny, nanophthalmic eyes are among the toughest cases for cataract surgery. With a very shallow anterior chamber, it is a challenge to even do the capsulorhexis, let alone the rest of the cataract surgery. In this case our guest surgeon does a pars plana tap of the vitreous cavity to give more depth to the anterior chamber. While this is effective, it is not easy and this video will teach you the important pearls to ensure success with this technique.
