2599: Quiz: What happened to this IOL?

An eye examination image showing a cataract quiz, with text asking what happened to an intraocular lens (IOL) and how to fix the situation, along with an arrow pointing to an anomaly in the eye.

This patient had a prior pars plana vitrectomy and then a three-piece IOL was implanted, but now, months later, the patient presents to you with this situation. The IOL optic is vertical to the iris and it certainly provides no optical benefit. So what happened here? Why did this happen? How do you fix it? Please comment below before watching the video!

I had the same situacion of a vertical lens with a monofocales IOL. One haptic was gold ed on itself, so I took it out of the bad, unfolded the haptic and reinserted it in the bag. Problem solved !
