Sometimes when you deliver the IOL, you find that the haptics are adherent to the optic (or to each other). Usually we can free this by using the chopper to push the haptic off the optic. But sometimes this doesn’t work. In this video, we use a technique of grasping the haptic with forceps (just my regular capsulorhexis forceps) and then squeezing it to break the adhesions. We also feature another innovative technique for an IOL stuck in the injector tip. Have you encountered this? And what is your best pearl for resolving the issue?
