2356: developmental cataract technique

This young patient has a developmental cataract which has worsened over the last year and now significantly obscures the patient’s visual axis. What would be your approach to this unusual cataract in a young patient? I can tell you for certain that the nucleus will be quite soft and there is no need for phaco power. Should you just go in with an irrigation/aspiration probe? What about IOL selection and refractive goal? Comment below, please.
