2321: ectopia lentis from homocystinuria

There are certain rare diseases, such as Marfan syndrome and homocystinuria, which lead to progressive zonulopathy with subluxation of the crystalline lens. In this video the patient is young and has very significant inferior lens subluxation which results in poor vision. Our guest surgeon shows the technique of pars plana lensectomy and then a novel way of using polypropylene sutures to fixate the IOL to the sclera. Interesting technique which uses suture loops around each haptic (instead of using the haptic eyelets) and then the flange technique to secure the IOL to the sclera. What would be your approach to a case like this?
