The K-Pro (kerato-prosthesis) is a device intended for very complex cases of anterior segment reconstruction where a traditional corneal transplant is not expected to work. In the challenging case here, our guest surgeon Professor Ramesh Ayyala from the USF Eye Institute in Tampa, Florida, USA takes a patient from light perception only vision to 20/50 — truly incredible. In this video he shows how this device can bring back sight to eyes that were previously thought to be hopeless. What an amazing case. We hope to feature more videos from the team at USF Eye Institute.
