Now you may be thinking, “Wait a minute, didn’t CataractCoach just feature a resident case 71 video last week?” And you would be right. That case can be reviewed here and today we have a different resident who also happened to submit a case which was labelled as the 71st cataract case of residency. While it is tempting to compare one resident’s 71st case with the same case number of a different resident, that’s not our goal. We want to compete with ourselves, making sure that every case is better than the previous as we hone our skills. Even tens of thousands of cataract surgeries later, this is still what I do — I compete against myself and I’m a tough challenger 🙂 What advice do you have for this resident surgeon in training?
