This patient has a dense white cataract but in addition there is fibrosis of the anterior capsule. You can see the underside of the anterior lens capsule in the photo above and you will notice the adherent white lens material and fibrosis. This makes the capsulorhexis more challenging because the capsule will not tear as predictably. Our guest surgeon does a great job with this tough case and produces a great outcome for the patient.
