2088: Quiz: Why is this capsule thick and elastic?

This is a different type of CataractQuiz because I am asking you for your help in solving this mystery. Our guest surgeon submitted this video of a patient with a relatively routine nuclear cataract with central opalescence where the anterior lens capsule seemed to be overly thick and elastic compared to most cases. The patient is of typical cataract age (60s) and there is no history or trauma or prior ocular issues. The other eye has a similar cataract. Why does this lens capsule behave this way?
