2027: pterygium excision with autograft

There are areas where pterygia are more common and some ophthalmic surgeons have a wealth of experience to share with these cases. Our guest surgeon has a clinic specializing in pterygium surgery and he shares with us his expert technique. Of note is that minimal anesthesia is used (it appears to be topical agents and sub-conjunctival injection), no cautery is needed, and the graft can be accurately sized and placed without using a marking pen. Truly an outstanding technique for pterygium surgery and I will use some of these pearls in my own clinic.
