
Even though our equipment is very reliable (and very expensive), no device is absolutely infallible. And in this case the femtosecond laser was used to create a capsulotomy but the energy was no appropriately delivered. Perhaps it was the settings on the laser, the OCT imaging alignment, an equipment malfunction, or even an iatrogenic issue. Regardless, this is where you are now and looking at this photo, there seems to be some energy delivery. How do you recover from this and create a capsulorhexis in a safe manner so that the capsule does not rip uncontrollably?
