This patient sustained ocular trauma which resulted in a traumatic cataract, zonular loss, iris avulsion, and vitreous prolapse. Now you are tasked with doing the surgery to repair all of this. What will be your approach? Our guest surgeon does a very nice job of addressing these issues and restoring vision to this patient. What supplies would you like to have in the operating room when beginning this case? I would want triamcinolone to stain the prolapsed vitreous, bimanual 23g vitrectomy set up, multiple tubes of viscoelastic, iris hooks, capsule hooks, CTR, Ahmed segment, various sutures, and plenty of time.
